Ace : Excellent. Used as an adjective (as in "that show is ace"), as well as an exclamation (as in "Ace!"). This word was the successor to Grouse in the late half of the 1970s. [Probably another Victorian word, obviously denoting #1].
Bonza : Really good, terrific. Also: Bonzer [Origin unknown].
Drongo : A dimwit; slow or stupid person; an idiot. Used to denote someone's stupidity, it is quite often used affectionately when stirring friends. [Probably from an Australian race horse in the 1920s, Drongo, which never won a race].
Fair dinkum : True, or pertaining to truth, as in "I am being fair dinkum" meaning that one is telling the truth, and/or not exaggerating. Often used as a question, as in "Fair dinkum?" meaning "Really?". Also used to denote shocked surprise when said slowly. [Origin unknown; used all over Australia].
Grouse : Excellent. A common term denoting pleasure in something (when used as an exclamation, as in "Grouse!"), or how good something is (as in "that looks grouse"). This seems to be mostly a Victorian thing, and people in other states will often comment that you're a Victorian after hearing you say it. [Unknown origin, but was widely used in Melbourne and the rest of Victoria in the 1970s, especially in the street scene].
Sanger : Weird variant of Sandwich.
Snag : Weird variant of Sausage.
Stir : Taunt, annoy. To stir someone is to taunt or make fun of that person, as in "Stop stirring me!". [Origin unknown, but probably from the use of the word as meaning incite, as in to stir someone into an argument] .
Struth : Nowdays used solely as an exclamation of surprise,
as in "Struth! Did you see that?!?" Originally also a sign of verification,
as in "Struth I did". Also: strewth; 'struth [From:
God's
truth].
