Tiger Snake (which is a taipan) is 100 times more powerful than that of
the Diamond-back Rattlesnake.

Though Western Australia
has some of the most aggressive snakes in the world, and certainly in Australia
(perhaps because of the harsh conditions), the deadly Brown
Snake is found pretty much all over the continent, from fairly dry areas
to the wet bushlands. The many varieties of Brown Snake are extremely aggressive,
and will come at you from a distance, then continue to chase you as you
run. What's worse, they will strike at you repeatedly.

TheAustralian Sea
Snake is 5 times more venomous than the most deadly land snake in the world,
the King Cobra. They are found along the central New South Wales coast
up to the northern tip of Queensland, but divers and swimmers have little
to worry about. These sea snakes are very friendly and inquisitive. They
will often come up to you just to have a look, though they seem to like
it when humans play with them. They dance around divers and come up and
lick their faces, so some people are actually quite fond of them as they
are almost like loving pets.

Not all snakes use
a neurotoxin - many use a poison that is corrosive instead. The most toxic
of these type in the world is our Black Cobra. The
toxin is so corrosive that if bitten, the limb is usually amputated before
the venom spreads, as it eats away at the flesh.

Australia's Redback
Spider is a close cousin to the Black Widow, yet more poisonous. At the
moment, Japan is experiencing a mass plague of Redbacks that made their
way in via imported Australian timber. Though you can find Redbacks in
any backyard here, you have to go looking for them usually. However, news
footage from Japan showed them running across park footpaths in herds,
and even on city sidewalks and in shopping centres. To see them walking
around at all is uncommon, but in herds of such numbers?!? They must really
like their new home…….trouble is, the Japanese don't like their new migrants,
and with good reason.

One of the most dangerous
venoms in the world is found in the Box Jellyfish,
which is found around Queensland and the Northern Territory.
