Exploring the Possibility of an Ancient Atlantic Subcontinent
OK, let's forget stories of a sunken island peopled by humans who
have adapted to the ocean and grown gills. What we're talking here is the
very plausible assumption that at one time there was a subcontinent between
Africa and the southern United States/Central America. We know that during
the Ice Age, Europe was as cold as North America, yet now we have the Gulf
Stream heating the air around Britain, and as far as Norway. Was there
a barrier stopping these warm waters before? And how did the Ice Age end,
and with such swiftness? Even if we establish that there was a large island
in the mid-Atlantic, we can still ask more: Did Cro Magnon man come from
this land? Were the people much more advanced compared to Europeans, etc? Well, I hope to be offering insights from myself, scientists, and
people who care to contribute their thoughts or theories. For now, I won't
be sticking up much research stuff, and believe me - there is plenty to
point to the existence of Atlantis. But to make things quicker for me and
more interesting for you, I will be posting my e-mail conversations with
various intelligent people. I am steering away from the concept that Atlantis
was peopled by advanced aliens who destroyed themselves with crystal technology......though
there seems to be many who believe this to be true. Their views on the
role of Atlantis in antiquity will also be voiced, but for now let's stick
